River joined BAPTI in 2022 as Executive Director and transitioned to the Administrative Director role in 2024. They work closely with the other Directors, Associates, Supervisors, members of the Board, and our community of licensed clinicians to deliver high-quality training for pre-licensed therapists in a private practice incubator environment, and affordable and responsive therapy for the community.

River also serves as an Associate Therapist for Laney College students in the mental health program at the college’s Wellness Center, and as an Associate MFT at Blue Oak Therapy Center in Berkeley. They are an accomplished leader with over 25 years of experience serving in nonprofit and philanthropic organizations, and a highly skilled experiential educator and group facilitator.
