Kids, teens, adults, families
In my role as a therapist I work with children, teens and families. I support children with school and education related challenges, anxiety, and relationship conflicts. I also have experience supporting clients with identities such as LGBTQ+. BIPOC, and neurodiverse individuals.
I believe each individual is the expert of their own experiences. My goal is to create a non-judgemental, open, and empathetic space for my clients to identify patterns, understand core beliefs, and challenge problematic thought cycles that are causing difficulties in daily life. My hope is that clients feel supported and understood in our work together, as building a strong therapeutic relationship is one of the key elements in my work with individuals.
My work with children is centered in providing a space that is safe and allows for growth. In my work with children I use tools such as art and play therapy. I enjoy using modalities like these in order to help children explore their inner world and practice healthy emotional expression. Therapy with kids also involves close collaboration with their caregivers and family, as we are all part of a team to support their success.
In my work with teens and adults I use interventions from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Narrative therapy, and Gestalt therapy. Each person’s needs are unique and are best met by a unique integrative approach to support each person’s individual goals for therapy.
When I’m not working I enjoy reading fantasy, taking walks, and trying new restaurants and coffee shops in the Bay Area. I look forward to speaking with you and seeing if I am a good fit for your therapy needs!
