Bay Area Psychotherapy Training Institute
Counseling Services for the Community

Our Counseling Services include:
- Adult Therapy: Adults seek assistance for many issues including anxiety, depression, relational conflicts, parenting/step-parenting issues, work-related issues, life transition issues including grief and loss as well as for trauma support and recovery.
- Child Therapy: Children often use play as a way of processing and understanding life experiences. We are trained and skilled in using a variety of therapeutic techniques including play therapy, art therapy, puppets and doll play.
- Adolescent Therapy: As adolescents move from childhood into young adulthood they often find themselves facing a variety of issues including relational conflicts, identity challenges, substance abuse, eating disorders, increasing independence anxiety and depression. Our MFT interns use numerous techniques to help teens learn about themselves as they work through emotional and behavioral issues.
- Couple/Family Therapy: Couples and families often find it helpful to meet together to examine how they communicate, show affection, work, play, and resolve conflicts. We will help you find solutions and approaches that work for your family.
- Group Therapy: Individuals may also find it helpful to participate in focused therapy groups with other clients for support and to address specific concerns such as depression or parenting skills. Check out our current Group listings here.
We are also available to provide and develop workshops and presentations on a wide variety of mental health topics to parent, professional and community groups. Please contact us for more information.
